YES! Not many people get rich doing nothing.
But what does that have to do with the issue? Even if you are filthy, filthy rich why is it better
that the government takes your money than letting you keep it? Whose money is it anyway?
A person who earns their wealth always spends it better than the government who just takes
it. There is always an inherent waste in government spending. You're not that tight when you are
spending someone else's money. We do need government but their role should be limited to a
scanty minimum. That's the core of the divide. The role of the government. It's not always whether
something is good or bad but rather who should decide. If you and I are involved in a mutually
agreed transaction why should an uninvolved third party who bears none of the costs or consequences of that transaction have any say as to how much one should charge or how much one should pay. That
applies to everything, whether you are buying and selling cars, shoes or labor.
