What kills me (no pun intended) about communism (with its suicidal system at its core) is not the ideology per se, it's the cultural backing, the leftist hypocrisy, the look-the-other-way that comes with being on the left side of the political spectrum. I'm definitely not a conservative, but more of an anarchist/communal (not to be confused with communist) type but... what I DO know is that my conservative friends do recognize that what some of out radical capitalism-inspired military-industrial complex people do (using the US government and the US military as a means to their goals) is really fucked up. When they see American drones dropping bombs and annihilating an entire village, there is no hesitation, they hate it.

On the other hand, when a leftist sees or hears about the Tiananmen square massacre, Holodomor or any other multi million-people assassination sprees, what we often hear is excuses more than regrets.
