This is the REAL truth for the people who are speculating or wondering what is the cause of the turmoil or want to know what's happening.

Bill Belichick is ALWAYS someone who makes the best decisions for the betterment of the team and the organization. His only care is winning. This has proven to have worked throughout his tenure in New England as they have been the best team in the NFL since he has taken over coaching duties.
Belichick's winning mindset has been put on display many times throughout his coaching tenure as his loyalty only extends as far as what the player can do for the organization and nothing else. Between letting Chandler Jones go when he led the league in sacks. Letting Jamie Collins go mid season when he was arguably the best MLB in the NFL at the time. And now getting rid of Jimmy Goroppolo for a second round pick. Although this time, it was not Belichick's decision or choice.
Truth be told, Belichick wanted to get rid of Tom Brady after this season. And has been breeding Jimmy to take over the franchise for the past few years. Although Brady is in contention for MVP, his numbers have been dwindling in the second half of the season and his age is showing. At 40, he only has so much left in the tank before he needs to be replaced.
Belichick had been planning for Brady to be replaced by Jimmy for quite a while now, and was ready to pull the trigger after Brady left off on a good season. No point in Brady sticking around for his dropoff. Belichick didn't want to waste time watching Brady drop off.
Robert Kraft absolutely loves Brady, and everything about him. Kraft knows that Belichicks attitude and decisions should always be trusted and Kraft had always trusted them.
As you may know, many top athletes and celebrities are not immune to becoming delusional despite their success and riches about their knowledge. Tom Brady genuinely believed his long time trainer Alex Guerrero (Who was not a part of the organization directly who traveled with them constantly) was the KEY for him to be able to play high level football at his age of 40. Interest in Tom Brady's longevity caused many players to adopt the "TB12" training method which included alot of bro science about nutrition and training, as well as a distaste for traditional weight training..
After many athletes reported that these methods weren't for them. This struck up some controversy. Guerrero was telling alot players that he knew MORE than alot of the trainers that were directly with the team. With Tom Brady as the poster boy it's hard for alot of onlookers who don't know the details to not agree without knowing the insider info.
Belicheck thought Guerrero was a distraction and banned him from traveling with the team and being around Brady all the time which we was for the past decade. This disgruntled Brady, who is working on a TB12 method book and APP with Guerrero and this completely derailed it.
Brady went to the front office and demanded that Jimmy be traded immediately or he would be leaving. As Brady felt Belicheck had too much control over the team and situation that Brady was used to sharing. He had always supported and understood the Belicheck pump and dump way of winning and not overpaying old players, until it finally came to him. Between kicking his trainer out and building up Jimmy to replace him. Kraft then IMMEDIATELY demanded Belicheck to trade Jimmy. Belicheck was furious and the Patriots ended up trading him for an underwhelming price of a 2nd round pick to the 49ers.
Brady celebrated like a child as both of his backups had been traded, so that there was nobody to replace him now. He treated this like a victory, and flaunted it in Belichecks face.
Rumor has it that he was traded to the 49ers instead of the Browns for a HIGHER price, so that Jimmy can preform in an ideal environment to shove it into Krafts face that Jimmy was a star in the making and his future was sacrificed for an extra year or two of a 40 year old.
Lots of pettiness has put a damper on the very essence of what the Patriot-way is all about. WINNING over emotion.
This is the first time that multiple decisions in a row have been made out of emotion at the expense of the team. Questioning to many, if this is the beginning of the end for the Patriots era.
