Whats the story behind this? I thought Arnold n Sly were supposedly hostile towards each other for numerous years? Obviously Franco being Arnolds buddy. Or were they all friends and the media talked shit?

stallone hired franco because he wanted to train to look like a boxer. franco used to be a boxing champion. he also wanted to get stronger and a bit more muscular. franco had stallone doing old style methods that boxers used. it works . they were basicaly bobbing and weaving etc as if in the ring. franco taught him how to box as well. he also put stallone on a keto diet. he lived it for 6 months!!! thats a long keto!!! along with the weight training. stallone was a strong guy. i know franco trained him for rocky 2 and 3 and one or more rambo movies. . not sure if there were any money involved but im sure there were ( and hormones to) stallone didnt want to get to big and bulky he wanted to look like a fighter.

A keto diet is an absolutley horrible diet for a boxer

For boxing you need to be ultra fut and have incredible stamina

For this kind of training you need lots and lost of carbs

Rocky 2 was his worst condition of any Rocky movie....And whole premise was he needed to be lean and fast(chasing chicken) So he should have been pretty diced...I know Sly tore a pec...but terrible condition considering a world class Olympia competitor training him.

Yeah was going to say that but whole premise was that he was an out of shape bum who just does the best he can...and loses fight so fits storyline...But paying Franco(and Sly has done interviews saying he charged ALOT)...to come in that condition is ridiculous...ditches Franco and gets in best shape of whole series in Rocky 3.
