Will remember him from bodybuilding.com forums.
Where he posted not long before his health worsend and he ended up in hospital bed.
Asked him some questions on his training philosophy wich i followed at the time.
Had great training knowelege. Was a good person.
Shame he left us too soon.
I agree with other posters that he had a great classic physique.
That's cool that social media has given us access to the one's that take
the time like Serge to interact. I've got to interact with many bodybuilders
that I never thought I'd get the chance too. Mainly on instagram.
I have learned one thing; is that most of them DON'T like any kind of
criticism at all so it's better to keep everything positive.
Like saying; Although your legs are very good if they matched your awesome upper body
you would have won this big show..EXAMPLE; Arnold or the Olympia. A comment like this
can get them on the offensive. I saw one poor chap just get slammed verbally by Chris Cormier
because he wrote that; "I bet many of you pros get a more enthusiastic response from your fans
in Russia because they don't get to see you as often as us Americans". Chris was brutal to this guy over that statement. The guy tried explaining himself & it just got worse. It honestly was like Chris wasn't
understanding what the guy meant because it made sense because his post was about a contest
Chris was in over in Russia.
I can't imagine Serge being like that at all. I've just had a couple like that I"ve had
to side step verbally to be able to chat with them again.
Anyway, after Serge had his stroke in 2009, there was a lot of mystery behind
what kind of care he was getting & their were rumors of him not getting the care
he needed to recover & little to no information until his death. This is what I
remember anyway. His family was silent & could have been protecting his
former image or it could of been something more sinister. I hope the former. RIP Serge
