LEO friendly for me is not that important. Unless you were a friend or neighbor when I was working, you wouldn't have any idea I was a cop. I separated the job/career from my personal life. In retirement it's the same. I have friends that have made the occupation part of their persona, they live and breath cop life. I was never that way. I enjoyed it, was good at it, but it never became my life.

Carolinas haven't been on my radar, not sure why. I think it could be as simple as ocean water. I fell in love with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean (who hasn't) and the closer I can get to that the better. Which is why Florida is attractive. The downsides of that state are a concern but we'll be renting so if we don't like some place after a year or two we can start planning for our next location. If Mexico ever got their shit together I would consider the Riviera Mayan area. We rented a condo on the beach for 6 weeks there and loved it but the corruption and random potential for violence is concerning.

How can you retire early as a cop. In my country a cops works to 66 y/o.

I don't know if 24 years is early in that career field. Felt about right. Over the course of 20 years or so we bargained for raises, gave up civil service protections to increase our multiplier to eventually 3.2 ( 3.2 X how many years of service) with options to buy 2 years of military service back etc. 23 year minimum before you are eligible. I also owned a burger joint for awhile then sold it and bought a convenience store that did well enough I could max out my Deferred comp and IRA. Some good years and luck in the market helped out. I was fortunate to be at the right department at the right time. Not many departments have a retirement like ours

From the new Retro where's the closest drug dealer and prostitutes?

You wont find any prostitutes in Casselberry, Winter Park, Maitland area. But if you head south on Semoran until you reach Colonial Drive, make a right, take that to Orange Blossom Trail, make a left. That's where the street walkers are.  Back page is always better though. As far as drug dealers I would assume OBT since thats where all the busts are in Orlando, or Pine Hills also known as Crime Hills.

Beachs are really nice in Naples. Offseason is really quiet. The Downtown area is small, good restaurants are limited. If you choose to live near the beach prices will be hefty.

Honestly speaking what are the mosquitos like in Naples and Miami areas and south of Miami?

Difficult to say where mosquitos may be breeding. Depends on how often the County sprays in an area, rainfall, lakes, other factors. It's really hit or miss with them.

You can retire after 20 years with a full pension for the New York City Police Department.

Great in the winter... horrible in the summer.

I lived in Pompano Beach in 1990.  That July and August were pure torture.  The humidity was like a hot, wet blanket that you could not take off.  Very, very nasty.

I guess it depends on what you mean by government. Not the case with city government. Many departments have a 80 rule. Age plus time in service must equal 80. Austin had a 25 year min to retire until it was dropped to 23 a few years ago.

Actually, there was pretty hot black girl on the corner earlier on the day, on OBT, for the first time in years . Maybe with the New Year... lol

Ohh don't get me wrong, there are a few hot ones out there. Here's some pics of my girl Sky that still lives that life, living there in and out of shitty motels off of OBT. Beautiful girl but needs to turn her life around. H is the Devil that most of these girls will never be able to get out of their life.

She's not that hot and looks like a typical craigslist hooker. One day her looks won't be there at all and she'll be a withered old hag. Do her a favor and get her some help. I never understood the H thing.

Or let her find that out for herself, there is always a 711 on Deytona Beach for then to work on their 50s, I guess.

I got some bad news for you. She no longer looks like this. Currently she lives in a tent behind the Burger King on OBT. The employees there call her the Burger Queen. I've tried to help her numerous times, unfortunately H is a hell of a drug and they need it every few hours. My girl and I have offered her to come stay at our condo to have a nice place to sleep and a hot shower and a nice meal, she has never took us up on the offer because I know that she would have to leave as soon as she runs out of her stuff and go into withdraw. Such a sad thing to see, especially with such a beautiful girl.

And there are some on this forum and in the real world that feel making all drugs legal would make this a rare thing.   They need to think, not feel.  Sorry to read of this young woman's condition.  She put herself there and no one can take her out of it but her.

That is correct. The last time I've heard from her she told me that she got a dog.... I was like "Ohh, did you find a place to live".. She said "no but every once in a while we are able to get a room for the night"... If she want's to live like that, that's on her, but when she told me that she has a pet dog now it really hit a nerve for me. If she can't take care of herself how can she take care of a dog?

The BK youre mentioning is the one besides a "Vacation Lodge" that offers 99 for 4 nights? Theres also a elementary school around? That's sad, Man, people choose to inject this thing into their veins, looking for confort and relief from this messed up World, and become zombies, especially with this fentanyl thing rollin on the street. Talking about rolling the Dice...

I think you misquote a whole lot of people. No one every said it would make this a rare thing. The fact she is this way now, while drugs are illegal, doesn't help your argument against legalizing it, where part of the billions spent annually trying to stop the unstoppable could perhaps be diverted to programs where people like this when and if they want to make a change, have options.

That may be the one I'm not too sure. Not on that side of town very much. I did go into that BK one time and the inside of it is like no other BK in the United States. There's absolutely nothing on the walls, no adds, no pics of burgers, nothing at all. I think its by Oak Ridge road or land caster road. I remember there is a WAWA right up the street on the other side.

I doubt it.  And I said "some on this forum and in the real world".  This thing could be stopped if the criminals were well and truly punished. Liberals are a disgusting lot. They have more sympathy for the criminal than the victim.

If you were a LEO you had to have seen what this crap does to people.  Making it legal only makes a LEOs job "easier" but only if you are inclined to be a lazy libtard.  Why not just make every crime a misdemeanor?

Sounds like a libtard plan.  Pedophiles want their desires made acceptable and legal. How does that sit with you?  I mean, just like drug dealers and addicts they're going to do it anyway, right?   How does being a thief sit with you? Make it legal. Does that make it "better" and "more acceptable"?  Rape? Murder?  Assault and battery?  Car jacking?  Who needs laws, they only belittle the "oppressed".  Fuck that noise.

Moral limbo is a sickening game but the courts and liberals have been playing it for years.    I don't play that bullshit game.
