Paige’s wrestling career for WWE is over after her latest injury according to PWInsider. The former WWE Divas Champion was informed Monday that she is no longer cleared to compete.

She was out of action for about 18 months due to injury and surgery, only to recently return as part of Absolution. She sustained an injury at a live event in December. In a tag team match, Sasha Banks kicked Paige in the back and she was unable to stand. The match was then stopped and a stretcher was called out.

I know, she couldn't even move after that. Who knows what she'll end up doing now. Her and El Patron are broken up too apparently.

It was widely regarded that The Leader of Absolution would just be missing a couple of weeks and would be cleared in time to compete in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match on January 28 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. However, reports last week stated her neck injury is so bad, WWE won't ever clear her to compete again, bringing an end to her in-ring career.

Paige had only recently returned to the WWE last November after missing most of 2017 after having neck surgery in October 2016. Her return as The Leader of Absolution was going well until she reinjured her neck again at the live event, so this is a huge blow for her.

Neither WWE or Paige had commented on the neck injury or the retirement reports last week, but they did clear the air just a little bit on last night's Raw in San Antonio, Texas.

First, WWE quietly pulled Paige from the Women's Royal Rumble match graphic, before Corey Graves mentioned during commentary on Raw during Sasha Banks vs Sonya Deville that The Raven-Haired Renegade had been pulled from the Rumble match "due to a neck injury." WWE later posted an article on their website confirming this fact.
