As long as Cliff's solo (Anesthesia, Pulling Teeth) is one of them...

They went too commercial for me from And Justice for All (and on)... Remember, Im old and got Kill 'em All when it came out. (1983 when I was a H.S. Junior)...
My taste and opinion of them may be a bit different than most here.

Black album killed it for me, although I do now like Sandman and Of Wolf and Man......

Justice they got too cute on, tried to be complicated, but still had some epic stuff - Blackened, One, Dyers Eve, Harvester of Sorrow.....

i lost interest after black album, but i have heard the occasional song after that and im pretty sure i can find a couple of songs on each album that's still good
my problem with them where more with the way hetfield sings how his voice changed... and some producing of the albums, the drums sounds really weak on Justice IMO

If All Nightmare Long was on Kill 'em All, it would be considered epic.  Death Magnetic, I believe, was the album they finally got rid of Bob Rock and went back to Rick Rubin, and it shows.
