Go easy on him. He still watches TV on one of those old school Magnavox furniture TVs with the turntable. Hooking up cable to that must be a nightmare.

Yes, but that setup makes the I Love Lucy and Laurel and Hardy shows feel more authentic.

I can't fathom paying $250/mo for TV, unless you're a TV junkie and watch a lot of shows. 

Between my gigabit fiber-optic internet, NetFlix and Amazon, I pay abt $100/mo.

my question to you is why do you not pay for cable tv? Does Netflix and Amazon cover what you would have been interested in cable-wise?

I'm saying Hollywood studios get a cut of Netflix/Amazon/cable-TV/movie-theater money, which I don't pay, but I'm not aware that they get any money from cable internet fees, which I do pay.

Netflix is realistically worth more than cable to me as I watch much more on Netflix.yet I pay 15x as much for cable.

I am not boycotting Netflix or anything at the moment. In fact just because people like Spacey have been outed for what they were does not mean I am going to get all shrilly  and stop watching the Usual Suspect or some other fucking movie he happens to be the villain in(this shit has been out there for years about him and alot of other people who incidentally seem to be protected at the moment).

Sorry there are bigger fish to fry out there than boycott some network because they offered a D List celebrity $500,000 to do a special, which I might point out after looking it up is approximately $475,000-$493,000 more than show than she would have picked up as this weeks "Guest Murder Suspect" on Law and order:SVU

This is nothing against Monique, as she sounds like a lovely person(I can tell these things from watching youtube videos  ;) ) but she should be happy that that evil town known as Hollywood actually offered her that much, like I said one time guest spot on SVU for $7000-25000 or $500,000 to do a special which could potentially expose you to the masses again and bring you in tons more?
