Cutting polo shirt sleeves
« on: January 27, 2018, 06:29:12 AM »
I have a hugoboss polo shirt and I can't wear it now as it's too tight on my left bicep. Do any if you snip the end to loosen it? Any advice?

Sergio Olivia style with a slit up all his sleeves. If you can pull it off go for it.Would say you need at least 20” arms to do it other wise just get a bigger polo, unless you are on the shorter side then say 18”.

Wouldn’t that look shit and turn a nice shirt into not much better than tattered rags?

If this man can find a shirt that fits, so can you!

I wouldn't cut it, try stretching it.

If you split it and don’t stitch it will tear. Take it to a tailor. A lot of dry cleaners do alterations as well.

Sometimes this doesn't help. I have the same problem with most shirts....I get a large and it fits in the chest/shoulders but the sleeves are too damn tight. An extra large is too baggy in the body!

They're sometimes made for fat people. I have a 2XL polo and the thing looked like a trash bag with sleeves.

The punchable face, shit hairline, generic tattoos, small effeminate frame, waist wider than shoulders.

Try an X-large. It is easier to shorten a shirt than to mess with the sleeves. If it is too big in around your mid-section, it can also easily be taken in. You can also buy polo shirts and dress shirts made specially to fit a bodybuilders' physiques.

Here's a link to one company that makes them, https://stateandliberty.com

American Eagle flex polos are made with 4% elastane. This adds a lot of stretch. Here is a link (ignore that the model is a twink), https://www.ae.com/men-ae-active-colorblock-polo-black/web/s-prod/1165_8682_001?cm=sUS-cUSD&catId=cat3130041

Okay. Here's a Hugo Boss polo which is what he currently wears. There's not much difference between the two polos except for the pocket.
