You think I was happy with Obama's implied diss on Law Enforcment whenever there was a conflict between police and people of color that made the news? Some criticism was warranted, sometimes not, but Obama would walk the tightrope.  I also thought and said he was a lame duck his last 4 years and anything positive he had hoped to do he seemed to give up on it and just ride the wake of his election until his term was up

I don't have a lot of answers. As far as 2 party, I think both the republican and democratic parties are a farce. If I was prone to conspiracies, it wouldn't be hard for me to think both parties are actually working together to line their pockets by giving us the illusion we have a choice, and we can switch who is president or governor every 4 to 8 years and once "our" party gets into power, things will finally be better. I think the hope of that, although we've seen it not work time and again, keeps us from rioting in the streets over how corrupt and criminal our government is. That they can take expensive junkets on special interests or lobbyist dime, look you straight in the face and say it doesn't influence them so they won't stop, says it all for me. This isn't about whats best for our country, it's about what's best for them. They literally all leave millionaires, have butlers, drivers, several personal assistants and are treated like royalty wherever they go. No wonder they stay in office for 40, 50, 60 years.
I too would love a non career politician to head the government. However simply being outside the political realm I've found isn't enough. You need some government experience so you know what you can and can't do. You need to be smart, articulate, you should have integrity, good character and a drive to actually help people. We can disagree and that's fine but I don't think our first time at bat with a non politician is going very well over all.

It’s just the same over here - out for themselves.

They are not keen on bringing in any type of proportional representation
