Are some people in here fucking retarded?!
Some points:
1) No one in here is poking fun at a baby afflicted with such a ghastly disorder nor has anyone even remotely implied that this child should be mistreated or not given love! Of course there are many parents--I bet most--who would not abort defective babies and would try to raise it in them as best they could.
2) However, we have reached a new insanity in the West that even those in the third world wouldn't take after! Last I checked, modeling--baby, fitness, fashion, or otherwise--is an endeavor in which beauty, usually universal beauty (spare me the bullshit that its in the eye of the beholder!), is displayed and promoted. With that said, are there any of you who see, or even HEAR, a physically and mentally defective person, and think to oneself, "Gee, I wouldn't mind looking and being like that! Heck, I'm fine if my kid turns out like that!" No, what mentally sound people who don't bullshit themselves or others think is, "Poor kid. I feel sorry for him/her, as well as the parents. I hope my baby comes out alright."
Before my kid was born, do you think I was thinking, "Eh, no biggie if the kid turns out unhealthy or malformed," or was I thinking and saying, "Let's hope for a safe pregnancy and a healthy kid!"
3) Ya think the kid is cute now, eh? Let me know how cute he is as a child or teenager or handsome as a man!
Part of it is because those kids remind me that it is possible to be pure, and honest and just happy to be alive and participating in life. Just seeing the look in their faces and the joy they have doing what we all take for granted is humbling.
4) Ever think the reason they're "pure" and honest is because they don't even have the faculty or reasoning to be deceptive is because of their mental retardation in the first place! Of course people wouldn't see the benefit in lying if they have limited logical capacity or reasoning!
What are we taking for granted in this context?
