I don't have a problem with a cheat sheet. Often times when I was facilitating a meeting I would make bullet notes to make sure I covered everything, because sometimes meetings can cover a lot of ground and I wanted to make sure I covered what was important to me. However, I can't recall reminding myself to convey empathy.. that was weird.

I'm sure if your meeting was being videotaped or filmed by the media and it was a due to a serious incident at work (or whatever - trying to find some kind of comparable situation to meeting students from a school where there classmates had just been massacred) that you'd maybe do a bit of prep before hand and sure as shit wouldn't be so careless as to let the notes to yourself be seen and photographed
