In terms of the price tag. I've sold Hublot, Rolex, and AP and recovered almost all of what I spent. Typically with these 3 brands of timepieces you'll get 85-95% of what you spent. If they don't make that model anymore you would make more.

Add Panerai to that group they hold well and older models are getting up there.

My expensive stuff never gets a comment. My shit stuff ($200) has the right look and gets comments.

Easier to buy cheap shit and then you have no reason to lie about fake stuff and get caught out.

Some micro brands make some very cool watches and many with good movements for a few hundred.

I had a watch on at a social function last week and everyone was commenting on how nice it was, its a bronze effect strap and face with small crystals in the digits.

Its an £8 dress watch...

not only doenst most women know, most men doesnt either.

rolex as a brand is so overused because of all replicas nobody can tell, or care, whether its real or not.

and the other expensive brands are so uncommon that only other watch nerds notice.
