The S&P 500 rose more than 4 percent, bouncing back after a steep drop as investors reacted to Joe Biden’s strong Super Tuesday showing.

Wednesday, March 4, 2020 4:19 PM EST
Health care stocks led the gains on Wednesday, rising more than 5 percent. Shares of insurers like UnitedHealth Group and Anthem Health rose more than 10 percent.
“The strong result by Joe Biden in the Democratic primaries last night are a significant positive development for the market,” Marko Kolanovic, a strategist at JPMorgan Chase wrote in a note to clients. “It likely removes the possibility of a far left candidate — a risk that was rattling markets last week.”

It's why I never liked having my money in the stock market as I have no control.  Now would be a great time to invest though.  When this Coronavirus blows over the market will skyrocket.

My approach is to anticipate a 50% drop in equity values at any time.  You allocate your investments in such a way to weather such a drop.

I agree with you that a correction is/was certainly due.

Although the Corona pandemic is the catalyst for the current market plunge, it's more of a health phenomenon than an economic one. But, it's translated to enough economic damage that I'm hoping it will satisfy the original impending market correction.

I've found division by risk allocation to be one of the more effective strategies.
