I'm saying that when Trump uses "people say I'm not saying, but people say I'm _______ "(Always a positive attribute) he's full of crap. So when I hear someone else use that tactic.. I'm just a little suspicious these days.
There's a bit of a difference. First Trump does it all the time. Second, his claim of "I'm hearing", "someone told me" etc.. often comes after an outrageous and obvious lie such as when he claimed someone told him he won an electoral landslide or when he said this about unemployment "The number is probably 28, 29, as high as 35 [percent].
In fact, I even heard recently 42 percent."Those are clearly different circumstances and it's a tool he uses to make a ridiculous statement and then try to attribute it to an anonymous person
In this case we have a porn star who claims she spanked the POTUS so it's not at all unbelievable that some people around DC are calling Trump Spanky
