It's just a Laplace transform but instead of using the table, we have to solve it by hand aka using the definition. And at this point after overloading my brain with different methods and how to solve them, I can't seem to do simple integrations anymore. Also the leasing office at the apartment I'm supposed to move into in the summer is making it as difficult as they possibly can for me to sub-lease from the current person living there, and being 6 hours away I can only contact them by phone and their inconsistency is extremely frustrating to say the least.

Great, a kinda smart broke man, who is trying to sub lease an apt from someone, and complains that the apt leasing office is making it difficult for him to do this, when it is not beneficial for them to be accommodating.

3) Not beneficial for the leasing office to be accommodating - You are probably right in the sense that they think this. Good point. However, I will be renewing the lease for another year once I get the sub-lease contract. I will bring this to their attention, thank you!

ps. they do get a $350 sub-leasing fee, but that's probably peanuts and not worth them being accommodating.

There are always issues with subleasing---who is responsible for XYX, damages, missing things, rental insurance, breaking the lease. Who is responsible for monies owed. They are the ones taking the risk, if they allow it.
If you have the money to live off of, then just get your own apt with your own lease, do month to month if you can (so that you can leave  if need be), or rent a house with room mates.

Those are good points. The reason I'm looking to sub-lease is that I'll be saving $450 total right off the bat in the next couple of months. Then when I renew off that sub-lease, I'll save another ~$800 yearly. This is because the sub-leasing monthly rent is cheaper then the rent they have now, and if I renew it I will continue to have the discounted rate that is associated with the sub-lease.

I will not be working in the next 2-3 years so even though the $2,000 total is nothing, it will be significant once my bank account is close to being fully depleted.

EPC, I forsee a possible problem here.

It would appear to be more of a financial advntage for the leasing agency if they were to let the present tenant break his lease and charge the tenant whatever the lease breaking fee is (as specified in the original lease agreement) and then sign you up as a new tenant at the  current monthly rental rate.

That way the leasing company gets "paid at both ends" so to speak.... and it is their job to to do their best job on behalf of the apartment owners.

And that may be the reason for the delay unless those details have alrady been discussed and agreed to previously.

...yeah, Laplace was sort of the most horrible, but once you forget about really trying to understand the framework and equations (I mean really, time/frequency ? you have to chop your perception) its actually easy (even by hand, not under exam time pressure though). You have to forget to lead into Fourier transforms, which are actually goddamn beautiful and probably a serious part of music, and life. And if you havent forgotten (about really trying to understand), z-transforms and DSP and horrible advanced but scarily real stats will freak the shit out of you.

It is a good perspective to try an retain throughout the madness, though. I lived on store bought, home cooked pizza, and in 3+4 undergrad year, a lot of good, lab fresh coke.

Engineering degrees are like the world. They do not care how good you are, there are lots of good students right next to you now. They care how much you can handle. Enjoy those 4 (non bullshittable cos it works or it doesnt) projects every 2-3 weeks.

And never, ever, laugh at the comp Sci students when they ask for help with lame math. You are gonna end up coding
