Channel 4 KRON must have been reporting on this since right around the time you posted about it. CNN started the 'Breaking News' coverage at 1:00 p.m. Even now not much is known about what happened or continues to happen.

Female shooter reported.


Police are responding to an active shooter situation at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno, California. Employees evacuated the building and police are warning people to avoid the area.

The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office tells CBS News it is treating the situation as an "active shooter incident" but declined to provide more details. A spokesman for San Francisco General Hospital said the hospital is receiving patients but did not say how many.

The San Bruno Police Department also confirmed they were responding to an active shooter. They asked people in the area to stay away from Cherry Ave and Bay Hill Drive.

Heavily armed police surrounded the facility, with armed SWAT vehicles stationed outside. Police officers could be seen patting down employees evacuating the campus to a nearby parking lot, where they were surrounded by police cars.

Several employees tweeted they heard gunfire Tuesday afternoon. Vadim Lavrusik said he barricaded himself and others inside a room before they were able to escape safely.

Doesn't California have several strict firearm laws and bans "high capacity" magazines? Also, are the youtube offices a "gun-free zone" or do they allow firearms?

I love how California has the strictest gun control laws, and received an A- on the Brady Gun Control Scorecard [I think...and I think that is the name of the rating system], yet has more gun murders than any other state in the USA.  ::)

Granted, the USA is the most populous state [I think...unless it's New York], but even per-capita, the stats boggle the mind.

Soon Whites will figure out the link between demographics and crime though...and that Western nations were fine "pre-diversity", but aren't so fine now that diversity is everywhere.
