it isn't something that's just happened. we've been in bed with jihadists since the start of the syrian civil war. same in libya to overthrow gaddafi.

More aptly, it's a proxy war. The latest events are just one of many false flags. Assad, having regained control of most of the country, is not going to perpetrate a nonsensical random chemical attack on civilians. He would stand nothing to gain, while giving the West an excuse to intervene directly. The West didn't even wait for, or produce evidence. As usual, illegally bombing a country that is no threat to them. What's new. Perhaps the West should be taken to task over agent orange, depleted uranium and white phosphorus bombs it uses with impunity all over the world. Or, perhaps Syria should bomb Michigan over the poison water the residents of Flint have been subjected to. By the West's logic, that would be helpful.
