I think I might be in that same boat. I've often said there are some things worth going to jail over. If punishing some animals for raping your 13 year old and then got probation isn't one of them, I don't know what is. It would be ironic that at your sentencing, you got probation for killing them.

considering how many would profess to kill and torture
perpetrators like this. It almost never happens. Or am I wrong and have missed it?

Who said revenge has to be in any way transparent? Do you really think if any one of these fucktards would be missed if they came up missing? Would it even make the news? How much faith do you have that anyone of these retards will make it to a ripe old age? A drive by shooting, a gang revenge killing, a drug overdose. Saying that it never happens is based on your knowledge if what you see or read about such things. This doesn't mean it doesn't happen a hell of a lot more than what may be reported.
