A pretty good match. For some reason, this was booked to build up Daniel Bryan. He drew #1 and lasted until the final three, lasting over an hour and sixteen minutes (eclipsing Rey Mysterio's 2006 record; Mysterio now simply holds the record for longest time of any Rumble winner). Mysterio did make an appearance, as he and Orton did a sweet 619-RKO combo on the monster among men.
Two major league moments, one comedic and the other brutal, stick out. The former was Titus O'Neal's tripping on the black mat and sliding headfirst underneath the ring; and the other was Shane McMahon. After doing a coast-to-coast dropkick on Strowman, he and Bryan teamed up to beat on other wrestlers.
When Kevin Owens hit the ring, he and Bryan immediately went at it. Bryan dropkicked Owens silly and set him up for Shane to hit the coast-to-coast on him. But when Shane hit the top rope, Strowman grabbed him by the throat, let him think about it, chucked him through the announce table to a huge pop.
But, for his herculean efforts, Bryan was eventually eliminated by Big Cass, leaving him and Strowman as the last two. Apparently, Bryan is replacing Enzo Amore as the little guy, with whom Cass is feuding.
In the battle of the giants, Cass gave it a go but Strowman threw him out and won it all. He got a giant trophy and a championship belt for his efforts.
