Yes, but this doesn't make it right though. Just because the Iranians don't like Trump's envoy doesn't mean they can go talk to some powerless asshole.

This can be read two ways: 1) either Trump's envoy is presenting too strong of a case or 2) the Iranians are holding talks with a nobody diplomat just so that they can say "see? We tried negotiations but the Americans didn't want to talk". None are exclusive of each other but both really shine a light as to how bitter of a pill the Iranians have just been handed.

Honestly? With Islamic extremism getting out of control the way it is, some of which is Iran-sponsored, that someone if FUCKING FINALLY  drawing a line in the sand if a breath of fresh air.

The POTUS just handed them a new procedures book and the fuckers don't like it. So they run to the guy's mother-in-law seeking nothing but persuasion. Very weak hand.
