I gotta say....Dennis had a hell of a build on him. Crazy wide shoulders....and really...no weak bodyparts at all. Awesome deep symmetric abs...huge calves...etc. Only weakness was a very wide waist-hip structure. Dennis was always in condition onstage and had the height too. But Itruly believe that his waist structure pretty much killed his higher placings in shows. What say you?
Good build great abs
I call BS on his height. Wikipedia claims he was 6'-1.5" and he was a few inches shorter than Arnold. And we know Arnold's height was also exaggerated! Dennis must have been around 5'-9" I would guess. Hardly tall.
Dennis's weak point was his back. He looked great from the front with his wide shoulders and great abs but when he turned around, he lost points. I saw him compete about 4 times in Columbus, Ohio and he was easily 6 feet tall.
I met Dennis many times in the 90's. While he was no longer in any sort of condition...he was a solid 6 feet tall. I am a legit 6 feet tall. Arnold is 6 feet tall these days. Had been around Arnold in person MANY times in the 90's in World Gym. And Arnold was a bit taller than me...while he was wearing his VANS skater flat sneakers in gym. No bullshit coming out of my mouth here
Lol at 18:10. Was Dennis Tinnerino the first bodybuilder to have a manager (other than uncle joe)? “The pen is mightier than the muscle in this particular occassion.” - Kenny the manager #lebaneselover
haha I watched that video and always found Kenny the manager to be quite a mysterious figure. His assessment is true though the Penis is mightier than the muscle. on a different note I always thought Dennis had a very underrated physique he was in as good of shape as anyone else at the 80 Olympia , certainly as good as Mentzer, Zane and Dickerson. His build always looked a a little more authentic, if you will, like he probably built a better foundation before stepping on the gas.
And Tinerino is measured at six feet and 1/2"
