Is that cause all the Chinese are buying up and migrating to Vancouver?

From an investment perspective HK is fantastic. Zero capital gains tax on property!

I've been a few times.

Fun to visit for a few days, but don't think I would want to live there.

I have zero interest in going there. It looks filthy, overcrowded and full of sub-humans.

This is more my speed:

Each one of those apartments would be worth more than a million dollar house in the US. It’s all realitive. Some love the vibrancy of a ultra dense city, others don’t.

HK is on of the densest populations per square meter on earth and yet the population is continue to grow with huge demand to live there it seems.

Only a small percentage of apartments are that small.  There is a larger percentage of people in Bangkok who live that way.

It has been a while since my last visit, but that Lennon photo appears to have been taken at Tiger Balm Gardens.

While I was there I had a  tailor made suit  "built" to my exact body specs  .... 'built' by 4 or 5 'suit specialists' while another couple of shoe gurus built a pair of allegator skin shoes for my two front feet.

An hour later I was out of there with a brand new suit and allegator shoes on my feet and a company card which offered complimentary, lifetime, alterations during that company's yearly visit to the good old USA.

All of the above for less than $50 (US).

The only problem was that upon returning stateside .... it only took a couple of monhs for the thread that held my custom-made suit together .... to slowly disintegrate.

But the allegator shoes held up well.

And that complimentary alteration card was never found.

True story ... and something similar occured when we purchased wooden household furniture in the Philippines. Two months in the good old USA and it all split down the middle.

NO ONE would choose to live in a small closet with 4 kids, if they had a choice.

DIABLO / BIG KAHUNA, I have not been to Hong Kong since the mainland took it over and would be intetested to hear how it has changed.

Here are some question that you might be able to answer ....

When we pulled into the harbor .... hundred of kids swam around the snhip diving foe any coins we threw overboard. I was impressed because the water beneath the ship was pretty damn deep. Are the still doing that?

Is the British Officer's Club still situated over the bay somewhat ajacent to the Hong Kong Ferry Terminal?

Does that cable car still travel up the hill to "Victoria Heights'?

Is that stll the  best area in which to live and the location f a few embassies?

What is the name of that location that once overlooked the boarder gate into mainland Chna?

Are rickshaws stillopular for the tourists?

Was it Kowloon  where we road a sampan out  to a boat that served great Chinese meals?

Do the best Hong Kong Hotels stll have penthouse restaurants that serve Kobe Beef  dinners for less than $18.

Can you still get tailor made suits and shoes for less tan $50?

Is it still vastly overcrowded with laundry hanging outside of every high rise apartment window?

Has mainland China made it more enjoyable or otherwise?

How are the US owned casinos doing?

Thanks ... Stunt

Thanks.....

Don't think so
Is the British Officer's Club still situated over the bay somewhat ajacent to the Hong Kong Ferry Terminal?

Not sure bro
Does that cable car still travel up the hill to "Victoria Heights'?

Central/ Mid levels...very very expensive location

What is the name of that location that once overlooked the boarder gate into mainland Chna?

Are rickshaws stillopular for the tourists?
HAHAHA no
Was it Kowloon  where we road a sampan out  to a boat that served great Chinese meals?
No idea
Do the best Hong Kong Hotels stll have penthouse restaurants that serve Kobe Beef  dinners for less than $18.
No...non Chinese food in HK is very expensive

Can you still get tailor made suits and shoes for less tan $50?
NO...

Is it still vastly overcrowded with laundry hanging outside of every high rise apartment window?
Yes...I'm guessing from your questions you haven't been to HK in 30plus years its much much more crowed than before

Has mainland China made it more enjoyable or otherwise?
Less enjoyable. Many mainland Chinese move to HK leading to overpopulation and a decline in the manners/behavior of the population as a whole

How are the US owned casinos doing?
Not as well as before since the Chinese governent made it harder for mainland Chinese to take money out of China to gamble in Macau

Thanks ... Stunt

Thanks.....
