Anyone wishing this for him has a negative perspective. If he did it, he did. If he didn't do it, he didn't. Why bother wishing for 'it' to be true? Why is he obstructing the truth, whatever it may be? No need to wish. What ever is, is, all wishes aside. In this case, I don't think wishing will make it so. Guilt will.

I don't personally like the man, but I also don't wish him ill will. To do so doesn't serve anyone well.
