Get used to it, California is a leftist state. In 2016, California had twice as many registered Democrats as Republican's.

California has the 6th largest economy in the world. It leads the U.S. Economy, away From Trump. Whatever the president says, this state does the opposite. It's working.

Travis Allen for the win!! Make California Great Again!!

Republican businessman John Cox is shaking up the gubernatorial contest in liberal California, as he enjoys a strong position in the polls and the full-throated endorsement of President Trump ahead of next week's primary.

“California has a rare opportunity to turn things around and solve its high crime, high tax, problems -- along with so many others,” Trump tweeted on Memorial Day, 10 days after first endorsing Cox. “On June 5th, vote for GOP Gubernatorial Candidate JOHN COX, a really good and highly competent man. He’ll Make California Great Again!”

California has a rare opportunity to turn things around and solve its high crime, high tax, problems - along with so many others. On June 5th., vote for GOP Gubernatorial Candidate JOHN COX, a really good and highly competent man. He’ll Make California Great Again!

Democratic Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom is still the clear front-runner in the race. But Cox could advance to the general election if he secures a second-place finish next Tuesday -- thanks to the state's unique "jungle primary" system that advances the top two finishers regardless of party.

Even a spot on the November ballot would mark a win for Republicans in the increasingly liberal state, where Democrats have controlled the legislature roughly 90 percent of the time and have held both U.S. Senate seats since 1992.

Not looking good for Travis.  :-\  It might be better for him to drop out and have his supporters go with Cox, giving the (R) a better fighting chance of securing a spot on November ballot.

California still has a fighting chance

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/06/gavin-newsom-and-john-cox-advance-in-california-governors-race.html

Democrat Gavin Newsom, Republican John Cox to face off in November general election for California governor

Liberal Democrat Gavin Newsom and Trump-backed Republican John H. Cox will face off in the November general election to decide California's next governor.
Based on 99 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday's statewide primary results, Newsom had 33 percent of the vote and first place while Cox was next with 26 percent.
Twenty-seven candidates were vying for the two top spots.
Under California's unusual "jungle primary" system, only the top two vote-getters — regardless of party — advance to the general election.

Newsom led Cox as returns continued to roll in, 34 percent to 26 percent. Antonio Villaraigosa, the Democratic former mayor of Los Angeles, had 13 percent, while Republican Assemblyman Travis Allen drew 10 percent of votes, followed by the other two major Democrats. State Treasurer John Chiang had 9 percent and former state schools chief Delaine Eastin was drawing 3 percent of the vote.

Newt said today he actually thinks Cox has a chance to make it competitive with Newsom which just sounded incredible to me since it's California but evidently alot of people out there are pissed off with how the state has been going under Democrat rule.

Absolutely tons of people are fed up. I'm actually surprised the voting numbers weren't higher. People out here are disgusted with our state government.

Nearly a quarter of the nation’s homeless population lives in California — about 134,000 people who often have carved out patches of curb, riverbed, public park or town square to live.

California has the highest percentage of homeless people living outside or in cars — advocates consider them the “unsheltered.” Eight in 10 homeless people here under the age of 21 live outdoors, nearly twice the rate in other states.

No it doesn't. Do you suppose wealth distribution has something to do with this?

"Like much of America, California's wealth is concentrated among a small group of high-income earners. The state has 16 million households, and just 61,000 of them -- 0.4 percent -- together account for one-fifth of the state's income", according to the latest tax return figures from the Franchise Tax Board.Dec 14, 2016
