I suppose if you consider anyone on TV as "media" and found this comedian making this joke, which I think is pretty insightful, then yeah, you could make a case for the mainstream media is making this all about her support for Trump... but you'd really be stretching it.

Fair point. I guess I have to concede that  once you factor in late night monologues, comedy routines, interviews with bitter exes, passing sarcasm and messages hidden in shows that can only be deciphered while wearing helmets made of tin foil, mainstream media IS actually pushing the "cancelled for supporting trump" angle.

Just like I can certainly find people from "the right" who will defend David Dukes, the Aryan Brotherhood etc. But I understand the right is made up of individuals, some of whom I would agree with on many issues and some I wouldn't.
