i beleive this was my key back in the day. i think at 1hr cardio you cant get in enough calories to get fat

Very often I am surfing + swimming/diving all day long, 1h of 'cardio' is peanuts.

Cardio is bs. I'm active enough throughout the day.

Still lean at 50 with no dedicated cardio.

I think this is the key. Ive done 1h cardio before breakfast for many years and stay in good condition year round. Both medically and physically as well as mentally. Did general bloodwork as i always do two weeks ago and everything was good.

Been doing 2 hours a day 3 days a week currently, 1 hour fasted in the am stairmill, then 1 hour swimming at night, transformation vids soon, pretty lean at the moment, also all is performed with a heart monitor and I keep my heart rate in my target heart rate. If you are going to do cardio a heart rate monitor is essential, takes the guessing out of it.

I've been running 7 to 9 miles every day (about an 60-75 minutes) for the last 3 months - lost over 50 lbs of flab in 100 days. I still lift beforehand, but I'm now in my early 40's and more interested in health/longevity than getting big or lifting heavy.

You do need cardiovascular health.

Active doesn’t mean you’re getting your heart rate up enough to have any positive effect on the muscle/organ.

Need to get it in your range.

220  -  your age
and then multiplied by .6 and .8

I'm 37 so my target heart rate is around 147, so I try to keep it between 145-150.

Yeah, I'm currently lifting mon/wed/fri cardio tue/thurs/sat, Sunday off.
