do you reckon you will at some point in life understand what drives athletes, or will you just be happy repeating the lie that "health is what matters" ?

There's no need to explain the mindset of an athlete (or 'athlete'), but it's a dead end road (i.e. Ronnie Coleman, Dallas McCarver and a ton of others)

so whats your plan, putting your postcount on a msg board in a time capsule hoping it will live forever? maybe generations from now, people will be able to extract your ramblings about transsexuals and all other shit you post and try to make sense of it

There's absolutely no need to make sense out of my postings, but feel free to try :D

Oh, and read your own post again; It's quite ironic that you use the term 'ramblings'.

he wisely stopped because he wasn't placing well

most of the elite guys are elite immediately, ronnie is the exception but he was at least qualifying for the olympia every year

no point in competing if you aren't a potential O winner

That's Andy Haman, they both had a similar "blond hope" thing going on, but Haman's schtick was bring a fit older guy.

He's been dead a few years, heart attack. He went a bit after Atwood.

He had enough sense to hang it up before becoming just another sad story good for him looks happy to be a father and looks healthy

I have to agree ...although bodybuilding is possibly the only activity where everyone is happy for you when you quit ...

Quitting Drug dealing before getting caught its pretty similar btw .

wasnt Duval the one who tried wrestling? or am i thinking of someone else? I met Duval at a gym here in Hawaii, he wasnt working out or anything just relaxing at the juice bar, nice guy, really down to earth, sad to hear.

Looks good. Holding extra bodyweight is uncomfortable, why hold more than he needs to? He's probably in better shape than 99.9% of American men of any age.

If he was still juicing and chasing the dream he'd get attacked by dickheads here too.

I doubt poor placings was what made him quit ..... One thing is hanging the thongs  ,  but stopping steroids for good?  ..... It's quiet rare in this " sport "

He even lost his jaw!  If you are smart it is a short ride.  He has a family to live for; good for him. :)

That is very strange...usually the angularity of your facial features are due to the bones in your face rather than muscular development.

anyone still have the guest posing pictures of him completely off the gear?

it was so embarrasing that bob chick attempted to save face by posting that cook didn't accept his fee.

If he had been born later and come along at this point, he probably could have owned the physique class.  Or whatever the fuck they are calling it nowdays.

Chris could have been a top pro.  He was just entering his prime and had no real weak points.
