What do you think about that there will be a peoples judging criteria at this years Mr O? It sounds very good to me. The full details have not been disclosed yet but it will apparently only be for the people in attendance at Mandalay Bay. They will count it together with the judges and mix them together.

Im tired of all the judging meltdowns over the years and this should be helpfull. Hopefully it might bring back Kai? I would like to see an American Idol type of voting so not only people in attendance can vote.

Phil Heath win by default won't he? I mean, last year he had a penoris growing from his belly and he still won by miles.

From the front Phil is very beatable but he has an amazing back, I will give him that. I don't see Ramy getting the victory, crap English and he is maxed out and that just isn't enough to knock out the champ.

Olympia Bombshell #1 --> For the first in the history of Mr. Olympia and professional bodybuilding, fans will judge each competitor and rank them, and those scores will count in the official decision. Yes, You and all other fans at the Orleans Arena will have a voice in deciding who will be the next Mr. Olympia. The fans collectively will be, in effect, another judge at the table at Friday's nights judging and Saturday night' finals."

Olympia Bombshell #2 --> Judges points will be available to the public at the Orleans Arena before Saturday's night's finals, so you can see each competitor's score before he steps on the Olympia stage.

Olympia Bombshell #3 --> If fans pick a different winner than the judges, that competitor will be crowned the 2018 Mr. Olympia People's Champion.

There are pros & cons..

Not a good idea: people cheer for their personal favorite, not just physique wise
Good idea: Phil loses his title to a more likable person

These are great news! I especially like the third one. After all controversial scores that have occured during the years this is a great move.

I don't see this making much of a difference. Been there, done that with the WBF. The 1992 show had a 900 hotline (1-900-454-WBF2) where the fans in the USA could pick the WBF champion.

They picked Strydom and, of course, Strydom won. What was funny is that some of the fans picked Mike Christian as their favorite (he didn't even make the top 5).

What is interesting is that it might give us two diffrent champs. One peoples champ and one judges champ. We will see how it plays out in reality but its a good game changer.

Bodybuilding for me is about freaky big muscle so my vote would go to one of those two men. Ramy or Roelly. I think Ramy can take it if he comes in slightly sharper. Its already very close. 5-10 pounds will do it. He can even lose 20 pounds of muscle in that progress and still be a uberfreak.

This is a consolation prize and similar to the Most Muscular at the Arnold. It will not come into play at all as far as who wins the Sandow. Heath will win easily again and someone like Ramy or McMillan (if he qualifies) will get the People's Champion.
