They are pictured prior to their muscular role and after looking like crap but for the movie they are buff.

Just like gym rats that want credit for their temporary physique when they know deep inside they look like crap with the syringe. Guys that truly live the life style are in decent shape year round for many decades.

This and the shape they get in like the guys from the 300 aren't big not one was over 175 but they were in great shape easy to maintain and the general populace thinks they are huge ...brad pit as Achilles's was no more than 170 but he looked great why not stay in shape
