Even if I was criticizing Trump and his supporters, what does that have to do with me being grateful or ungrateful about living in America? 

My statement did not imply in any manner anything about America.

Everyone has criticized every president since the inception of America. That is politics for you.

Personally, I think all politicians suck, but that doesn't diminish my gratefulness for living in America.

I can separate my disdain for politicians with America itself.

There is no way to determine if someone likes or dislikes America based on whether or not they like or dislike Trump. It's people assumptions.

As someone who doesn't vote and is not registered to vote, because I am above it all, I really don't care who is president--I didn't vote for Trump, and I did not vote for Hillary. I dislike all politicians, but still recognize the awesomeness of living in America. Once I sign off of getbig, I don't even follow politics. Ive never read a political article or a political book.

And, just as you said above, all successful politicians are horrendous, pure evil creatures.

But, of course, I have the utmost respect for the country as a whole.

              most of the problems politician are trying to fix they created in the first place, that's why nothing much really gets done...   hey lets all build a wall..... lock her up, drain the swamp all this incessant chanting and tweeting...... while the real issues keep getting forgotten in the maelstrom of chaos created by a corrupt pay to play government...these people spend more time trying to get reelected than they do governing..,,,,,,maybe we should be happy for that..

However, that may apply to some people, but it doesn't apply to me. I can't speak for other Americans, only myself.
