I think he is past his prime and should hang up the thong. At this point he won't beat the top names in the Olympia circuit. All he is doing is chasing a ghost of his old self, a standard that will not fend too well against some of the names that decorate the Olympia stage. He should get out, before too many injuries set in. Whatever money he has saved up should be invested wisely (not in gyms or food franchises).

Don't you know him personally? (if I'm correct) I don't think he's currently competing, expecting that he would place top 6 or so, but rather because he likes to challenge himself.
From a rational & health perspective I believe you're fully right tho.
One of the keys of successful investing is that you invest in something you're familiar with, but what would that be in his case? About a year ago he said in an interview that he had plans for a new gym, but I haven't heard anything after that.
