I kind of agree with you---Ronnie's workouts, for instance, were epic and inspirational. But now he gets shit from everyone because he trained so hard and heavy that he wrecked his body.
Phil's workouts, by contrast, are not epic or inspirational
per se. They're not that exciting to watch. It could be argued that Phil trains smarter. He said in this Ron Harris interview (posted 7/16/18), that he actually suffered a mild pec tear (doing inclines with 405) during his 2009 Olympia prep.
