Arnold three days a week program, whole body
« on: July 24, 2018, 04:36:13 PM »
I have been experimenting with three whole body workouts per week, all compound moves with some curls thrown in. I was pleasantly surprised to discover on the internet that Arnold built his foundation on this type of workout. As did Reg Park. And both men did so without roids.

I favor whole body 2-3 times a week myself.

Arnold is generally understood to have been on 'roids since age 16.

No. Not until he got stateside. He turned himself into a monster with three days a week whole body and earing prodigious amounts of muscle food and protein shakes.

This .

I did Arnold's routine from age 15 to about age 25( on and off )  it was over training that you can get away with when you're that young ......had I known he was on juice since his teens I wouldn't have bothered .

Btw the minute I stopped doing Barbell Upright Rows and just did shrugs,   my traps finally started growing .
a waste of  time and joints  specially stress to wrists ....

We've been over this multiple times here.  The best split is working each bodypart every other week.  Please take 6 months and run this type of split.  Please don't post until the 6 months is up as your findings will be incomplete.  After the 6 months, come back and let us know how you did.  Remember, the program TAKES TIME!

Good call

He has so many accounts going that it’s hard to imagine him training or working or being productive

Yeah, looks all natural. Face of a 14 year old with the body of a 28 year older pro bodybuilder
makes sense

not hard to see why he was on the operating table with a jacked up heart at 49

Remember when Arnold wrote his first autobiography in the late 70s? Guy was barely 30 years old and already he's writing his autobiography. Those who read it will remember how he reminisces about he and his friends spending the whole day squatting. Doing like 60 sets or something and then eating a whole chicken at once.

Three days a week whole body. Oh brother. All Arnold did and cared about during that time was lifting weights.

When he was in a tank division in the army for his military service, he kept barbells and weights in the tank too and him and the tank crew would workout outside whenever they stopped somewhere.

yes I'm sure he did...LOL. do you believe everything he writes? Arnold never needed Sleep or Food he trained while they all slept & ate. He was a super soldier. get real. It's like the BS he said at his last Olympia "win". He achevied his Body in weeks where as the others took years...LOL.
