Bonac is overrated. He doesn't really have any freak factor and he is maxed out pretty much. Like a dollar tree version of Kai Greene

I guess in the era of subpar bodybuilders, he stands out as one of the best.

Not too impressive since the bar is set pretty low.

I'm not a big fan of his but if ramy comes in even vaguely shredded they should let him beat glazed donut gut this year... At least he tries to show up somewhat balanced.

During the summer of 2000, Ronnie was doing 800LB deadlifts, 500LB Bent Rows, 600LB Front Squats, 315LB Lunges, and Dumbbell Bench Presses with 200LBS in each hand. Levrone had to face that beast at the Olympia.

Bonac doesn’t have to face an animal like Ronnie. Bonac is facing a excellent bodybuilder in Phil Heath. But mentally, Bonac has an easier prep knowing that he isn’t facing a powerhouse like Ronnie. Levrone had to face the biggest Mr Olympia ever.

I think Bonac beats Levrone in the details. Especially in the back poses. Of course Levrone is bigger and probably has better overall structure. Bonac beats him in leg detail. How would Bonac do head-to-head against a prime (1995) Levrone? Who knows, we can only speculate.

I liken Bonac to a Shawn Ray--Kevin and Shawn kind of went back and forth in Olympia placings between 1992 and 2001. Kevin beat Shawn in five of those outings, and Shawn beat Kevin in four of them.

Is Bonac as good as Ray was? Probably not quite, but pretty close IMO. He's the closest thing to Shawn in this current era. Am I crazy? Maybe? Discuss.

shawn beat him in 93, 94, 96, 97

shawn also lost to him at the 96 arnold, which i think was the only time during those years shawn did a show other than just the olympia, it is easier to peak when you only compete once a year

shawn 2 pro wins, Mr. Levrone 20 pro wins

Prime Kevin would destroy Boner, he’s bigger overall and just as lean if not leaner
