More side effects with older age?
« on: August 07, 2018, 10:59:13 AM »
Hi all,

If you become older (age >40 years) will side effects occur earlier?

Your body become "weaker" above a certain age, so more prone to side effects of AAS?

Or am i wrong?

Just wondering.

Thanks for the reply

I don’t think so
I’m 57 & been using on and off for 25yrs
I don’t believe I take high amounts average of around 750mgs every
7-10 days and know others 10+ yrs older doing the same or there abouts.

Jeez how many long term hospital patients both young & old Male & Female
Are given various steroids for extended periods of time Some all their life.

Are there risk / negatives yes - are they exaggerated yes.

If you take huge doses for long long periods of time & have a poor diet & excesive
Body weigh / fat / water low heart lung capacity probably not a good idea.

Go careful & be well.

I would say depending on compounds and dosages, prob not real smart to do lots of clean in your later years, or anaerobic due to blood pressure and probably trying to keep water weight to a reasonable amount.

Do you think you have good genetics for your body to accept gear in general? By good genetics I mean the body responds to the gear and there are minimal health side effects. Ronnie slammed tons of gear has had so many surgeries and still alive. Dallas mccarver died in his 20s. ??

Good question.

I’ve found I respond to drugs in general quite.
In the sense of I don’t need a lot get a desired effect.
Other than steroids - the drugs I’m talking about are
Pain killers OTC meds + any prescription meds from doctors.

I’m not a alcohol drinker / smoker / or use recreational drugs.

I’ve competed & Won national titles in Powerlifting & Bodybuilding
Without steroids & with.

Genetically I would say that I’m above average.
Others may say differently.

Really? are there people older dan 60-65 years  taking steroids?

I don't know them. I only see youger guys using AAS.

Steroids are not used as medical threatment in Europe. Maybe a little anavar or deca but that is really not common.

I live in England
And certainly know a good few my age and 10/12yrs older
Who use.
1 being 68/9 & a 5 times former world powerlifting champion
He still squats & Deadlifts in the 260/70kg range at a body weight of
Around 105kg
And has a very good physique.

I’d say use small amounts increase slowly monitoring your body
For any negative side effects & reduce the amount you use if you start
Getting them, don’t allow yourself to get bloated & carry water.
Eat a relatively clean diet / keep lean & do some cardio work.

How do you not drink in England and have a social life? Was living in London for a while and everything revolved around going for a pint in the evening, predrinks, etc.

Definitely, yes.
Regarding AAS, male response, specifically the amount of test being aromatized increases with age.

There is another interesting observation.

With continuous use of tren, the anabolic activity decreases and the androgenic one goes up. I suspect it also happens with age.

Watch that prostate guys!

older gives more fat cells which gives more inflammation which gives more health issues.

I'm 40 and been on 125-250/wk test for 3yrs. Im not worried about gear but about how my diet affects my health.

If your health is bad from poor diet and poor exercise, add gear and it'll be twice as bad.

Be lean. Don't overeat carbs or at least minimise them and most health issues will prevented which is key. We want to.prevent issues rather than 'deal with them'.

I would say yes to that. A lot depends on your overall health and conditioning. But yes, generally speaking I’d say you need to look out for your cardiovascular health including cholesterol and heart, kidneys, liver, prostate, testicular health etc if you are on anything over hrt dosages over 45 even if you felt you have been healthy up to that point. The variables would be dosage, type of aas, your overall health, and what condition you are in along with history of use. I would go out on a limb to say that some might actually improve health and quality of living if they adjusted their test/ estrogen ratio to that of a healthy 25 yo male. Playing it safe is wise. Your health is priceless.

What's the main issue using 125 mg Test E per week and during summer 8 -10 weeks Test E 250 per week with a 3 tablets of anavar every day?

This cannot be harmful?

Should be rather benign at those dosages.

older or younger that's not matter, it matter the abuse and does not the usage.. there are a big recent sample of one younger and another older bodybuilder died due to the abuse
