Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneaux

Very few besides these men, have managed to say so little profound or interesting with millions of hours of speaking as these three, yet they are revered as modern-day sages.

Agree with 1,3.... Jordan Peterson’s apparent lack of depth.. pragmatism.

Joe rogan has given a platform to many very smart people who otherwise may not be as well known. That in itself is enough reason to view him as a cut above most. Jordan Peterson also breaks down the flaws of group politics and instead speaks on behalf of individual character and responsibility, which is what we are in dire need of.

What I've Heard of Stefan Molyneaux I just get a feeling he just copypastes stuff from Charles Murray and Philippe Rushton basically.
He's only relevant now because it's so apparent in the world right now and he puts out alot of interviews on Youtube.

About JP I havn't listened to much of his stuff. Seems to do alot of theorizing of psychology and you can't be sure if it's true or not because alot of what he says is just that, theorizing. Alot of what he says makes sense though. He avoids anything racial related because he wants to be able to get payed well lol

Rogan- what to say.. Great talkshow host. He used to fall for alot of non scientific peudo bs, but getting smarter. As far as comedian not a huge fan, each to his own...

He promotes himself as a champion of the free market, but when he got banned by Twitter he immediately wanted it to be regulated by the government.

Lol, who considers Rogan "a sage"?

He has a lot of unique experience though. When he talks about it, he's worth listening to.

I know right. Heaven forbid people work as a team and in turn realize who are trying to destroy their team! Great approach! Makes for good defense to hostile enemies.

After all, just a bunch of high-IQ individuals create civilizations and maintain law and order and attractive communities. Individuals can move mountains!  :)

Heaven forbid that team is primarily made up of people whos thought process is driven by the pettiness of being a certain skin color, gender or sexual orientation instead of being comprised of people courageous enough to be their own person, to see their own strengths and faults as individuals, being responsible enough to work on those instead of using scapegoats to justify crappy behavior.

Jordan Peterson is no Sam Harris.

Harris destroyed Peterson in a podcast debate.

In the first podcast...that got bogged down from the start.  Jordan Peterson may be empirically incorrect about religion, but so what?  I like how he speaks to the biological substructure of religion.  How we co-evolved with religion, and why certain things got into our religious texts.  For example, the hatred of homophobia did not arise out of nowhere.  Homosexual males are by far the group that spreads the most sexual infections throughout a society, and during historical times, these infections were far more damaging.  It makes sense to me that human beings evolved a primitive form of science that defined homosexuality as sinful, as a form of protection against this infections.

Likewise with pork - as Samuel L. Jackson said in Pulp Fiction, pigs are filthy animals [although they are smarter than dogs], and bacteria spread from eating pork was also disastrous during historical times.  It makes sense that our religious texts would report that.  Another example is worshipping cows in India.  Magic mushrooms grow in cow shit, and I can understand why people eating those mushrooms [and then having hallucinogenic/spiritual/existential experiences] would go on to worship cows.

Understanding how human beings evolved with religion is interesting to me - and it is some defense for all the times people scream homophobia at the Christian right for example [which is nowhere NEAR as bad as Islam, which is a socioreligious system with very little separation of mosque and state, and codifies its anti-homosexual positions in law in many Islamic nations].  My point is - we evolved these attitudes and social or even legal policies for a reason, and it's nice to understand the basis for that.

Lol, it seems to be.  But in fairness, it's BULLSHIT for Twitter to brand itself as some neutral apolitical platform that protects freedom of speech and hate speech against all races when it does nothing of the sort.  You can talk whatever shit you want against White people, and there were literally members of ISIS holding accounts.  Meanwhile, a White person who says "I have human rights", can be flagged or banned.  That's absolute bullshit.

And you CANNOT go and change the terms of service out of the blue.  That is also bullshit.  So it is no surprise that Twitter lost 19% of its market value recently, and is being sued left and right.  Stupid lying left-wing fucks.  Good!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Tell me about it.  Jordan Peterson is such a moron in this respect.  The left encourages EVERYONE to take on identity politics, and JP goes around telling White men to act as "individuals", and adopt a centric position.  In this respect, he is a fucking idiot, and he is in for a MASSIVE rude awakening, because at this point I see nothing less than a race war starting if group tensions are aggravated through race baiting to the extent that they have been.

The thing about Jordan Peterson is that he is a Baby Boomer, and they all internalized positive views towards "multiculturalism" and "anti-racism", before the Western world became the demographic ticking time bomb it is today.  And there is ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT, as White people continue to get displaced by their own governments under heavy Jewish financial pressure that this will all come to a massive head.  Sadly, people will die, but I am hoping not too many, as I still have hope that things can reverse themselves somewhat using political means not involving direct violence.

"Be an individual, White man!  Be a good goy!" - JP

ROFL!!  What a naive idiot he is here.

Peterson's value was in describing the millennial pathology (and not incidentally, narcissism) and then giving them a prescription to fix it

for all the shit we hear about how this is "obvious" stuff  ::), yes apparently its so obvious you had almost an entire generation of men floating aimlessly through their lives, displaying adolescent characteristics well into their 30s for many of them, with their biggest political concerns being how many drugs they're allowed to use and will the government give me free money. Normally the people saying this stuff is "obvious" aren't as well put together as they want you to think.

Any other topic, i don't particularly care to hear Peterson's thoughts on. Religion? Chesterton still remains the best christian apologist hands down, peterson sounds confused and unsure of himself in comparison. Politics? throw a stone and you'll hit someone with a better grasp of politics than Peterson. Psychology? It's a fucking fraud field anyway, so for all the chatter about how Peterson flirts with vague and often seemingly self serving concepts, I would offer to you that the entire field is bullshit (no, really: its expected maybe as much as three quarters of established research in this field may be fraudulent/bunk. Including famous experiments that still influence public discourse today, such as Philip Zimbardo's stanford prison experiment) anyway, so you might as well attempt to make something out of parables and myths.

edit: as for rogan and molyneux, one is widely known to be a moron and the other is a libertarian which is a euphemism for aspergers.

Lots of great stuff I agree with, to some degree. I love that he has ripped away Carl Jung from Joseph Campbell's toxic grasp, that is his greatest accomplishment. His thoughts on philosophy are very provocative and interesting, regardless if you agree with him. He's fun to listen to listen to, the fact that he is fashionable to trash lately is getting pretty annoying.

its inevitable I suppose. Pendulum swings one way and then the other. I do get annoyed by both how much I see his face now, but also how much as you say, it is fashionable to hate him.

What all three have going for them is that they at least think about things and are well accomplished in a field of their interest... and they can talk and raise some important points.

Unfortunately the paradigm that they are holding onto does not allow them to see some pretty simple problems, that may appear to be very ugly(not chic) when addressed. It seems also that they are strong proponents of "hyper"-individualism(dog-eat-dog), which in itself has become a western pseudo-religion. All three of them seem to be well off too, which further disqualifies them from being on eye level with their supposed "fan-base".

As for their persona,
-Molyneux crying on camera which felt very creepy. Seems like something's off in his brain.
-Rogan is still a "crowd-guy" which disqualifies him for being a serious force questioning, aforementioned, uneasy truths.
-Peterson is bias'd, like any other person, but has this preacher-voice babbling on and on that if you get your act together, all else will fall into place.

Albeit very primitive in approach, aforementioned points kinda boil these folks a bit down, ignoring of course their, sometimes thought provoking, ideas and information.
What all of these gentemen keep forgetting is that they can live in a semi-protected reality, which ultimately disqualifies them from speaking up for the MANY people they supposedly represent.

I'm a big fan of Jordan Peterson but he pussyfoots around certain topics.

In actuality, Peterson is a classic liberal.  However, because of how far left modern "liberals" have gotten, by comparison he looks like Barry Goldwater.

Great.... fucking post! Peterson is the classic boomertard with some brains and through effort, when opportunities were plentiful in his prime years, managed to secure himself in a physical and mental shell that wards him off of the grim reality of the people to which he preaches or tries to convince. Deep, deep down though, Peterson is aware of this reality when push comes to shove. That is, when in tight situations nearly all people revert to their tribal natures: whites turn white, blacks turn black, Jews turn Jewish, and down the line.
