Brett bitched about having to babysit Jim when they were a tag-team, making sure he wouldn't  go overboard, put him to bed, etc......and he got tired of it as it was impeding his own career.

Nothing to do with drugs or alcohol.  Between playing pro football and wrestling,  head injuries and concussions are the cause. 

In his book, Bret went into details about Jim's drug habit and his hard partying lifestyle.

Bret also said he was a natural born powerhouse too.

Ummmm he was in rehab twice, so I’d say it has something to do with the latter. Head injuries are no joke, but lets not play dumb here.


All of the drugs and hard partying were due to pain in my opinion.   But in any event, sad situation

I think the "Anvil" nickname came from him winning an anvil-throwing contest.
