NFL Ticket Prices
« on: August 24, 2018, 10:13:57 AM »
Not sure if this topic will meet with any interest, but I'll start it off anyway with next year's Super Bowl ....

Super Bowl LIII
Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, GA
Sun, Feb 3, 2019 @ [Time TBA]

Cheap Seats ...$3,500 approximately.
Superior Seats ... $17,500 approximately.

Could the NFL ever go broke even if the stadium was half full or half empty?

And don't forget that $10 beer and $7.50 hot dog and an outlandish parking fee

The new Raiders Stadiun in Las Vegas does not have room for enough parking spaces, so you'll have to park someplace else.

I believe that they are trying to solve that problem as we speak, but the final solution will most likely cost fans a minimum of $30 and miles away.

Stunt the concession prices at that stadium are the cheapest in the nation. The beer is half your estimated price.

http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24461717/atlanta-falcons-sell-5-craft-pale-ale-home-games-season

The game is largely a corporate event and the fans who attend pay the premium because their team is in the game.

I'd hate to imagine trying to find a ticket, plane ticket, hotel or rental car if I went because my team was playing, you wouldn't know for sure until 2 weeks prior to the game.

I'm no  expert when it comes to sport stadiums, but many here in LV claim that this new LV Raiders stadium will be the finest in the US.

Is there any truth to that ?

Are there better stadiums within the USA or possibly even other world-wide stadums?

And about that $10 beer .... some people say that it will allow the beer vendors to serve more beer due to the fact that they don't have to  spend time making any nickle, dime, nor quater change.

And it the end ofthe day it will be easier to count.

Haven't watched a game since the saints/colts superbowl. Stood up a date over a $500 pair of tickets.  ZERO interest in the league.  LSU and Oklahoma with Kyler Murray are good enough for me.

Fuck The NFL. How many people didn't renew their season tickets will be an interesting topic once the regular season games begin and there are empty seats. And then when the mega TV deals expire in 2022, the shot will really hit the fan. Keep kneeling, assholes.

Every mega business that is highly visible seems to hit a point where public opinion turns against it.

Everybody likes to stick it to the man.

The NFL is becoming the man.

There's been several NFL stadiums that lowered their concession prices to reasonable levels ($3 hot dogs, $5 beers, etc.)  The Atlanta Falcons' dome is one, can't remember the others

Are there any stadiums that look better or designed better than this forthcoming LV Raiders Stadium?

I personally think that the powers involved have chosen the weong location for our new stadium for a number of reasons as shown below ....

The space in which the stadium is being built is too damn small and is not big enough to fit the required number of parking stalls so the 'fans' will have to park off site.

This off-site parking problem will be discussed and updated and made known to the public  sometime next mionth.

Some industrious individuals will possibly open a motorized ricksaw business that could avoid traffic tie-ups. (Wiggs!!)

I believe that the main reason for picking this stadium site was its proximity to the Strip hotels and the view of the Strip hotels  through the  stadium's north end 'wall'.

But it's still pretty damn hot during the start of football season which will prevent a good number of fans taking that hike over the freeway under the present pedestrian walkway conditions.

There were many other sites in town which offered almost unlimited space on the yet to be developed south end of Las Vegas Blvd just south of the South Point Hotel/Casino .....  but that end of Las Vegas Blvd iis not yet developed nor considered to be "The Strip" .... just yet!

IRON, I had to get an answer in a hurry and found this comment about the
stadium roof and "retractable doors".

The stadium dome will be state of the art glass ....  "which I believe can be opened and closed"

And the stadium will have "retractable doors'.

So what he hell are retractable doors???

The large "hole in the wall" at the stadium's north end which gives the fans a view towards the Strip hotels  ..... seems to be a major loss of seats and a huge air conditioning expense.

The last time I visited the site earlier this month (September) the tempertaure was 110 - 115 so it's gonna be a major expense to keep the fans, players, hot dog vendors, male/female cheerleaders, etc. cool during our summer hot spells.

And I believe that the real grass playing field can be 'retractable" (rolled in and out of the stadium as needed).

You guys should look up the Diamondback stadium.  It’s in Arizona. Open air yet is about 70-80 I’m the stadium when it’s 120 out. They use an air cooling system to constantly pump cool air into the studium.

As for NFL prices.  I’m not much of a fan anymore.  Nothing to do with anthem protests. I’ve just been losing interest with how it’s being run. The lame rule changes and the thugs taking over the game.
