I travel across the country a lot and notice the police departments in many cities have very lax laws regarding weight, steroid use and tattoos.
I have seen many police officers grossly overweight and I've seen many police officers that are obviously taking anabolic/androgenic steroids.
I've noticed women police have tattoos. I've been places where its 100 degrees and they are wearing long sleeve shirts so I'm guessing they have tattoos. And I have seen women with short shirts with complete full sleeve, very colourful tattoos. Why I find funny about those departments are that the women can have full sleeve tattoos but cannot wear colour nail polish.
A friend of mine recently was hired for the El Segundo Police Department and he cannot use tobacco products on the job OR AT HOME!!!!!! So in order for him to be a police officer in that department he no longer could use dip while on his private time. What I find funny is when I'm in Toronto I see many Sihks wearing their turbans on the job. Apparently years ago they filed a lawsuit for freedom of religion so they now can wear them while on duty.
How many people are afraid of fires? Can they still be firefighters? They can stay at the firestation while the rest of the crew fights fires and they can wash the dalmation?
So..... 1. Should you have freedom of religion on your job?
2. Should police officers be randomly drug tested for a large array of drugs including PED's?
3. Should police officers have tattoos?
