Another liberal fail

What a putz, LOL.  This is the guy who called for the boycott--not surprising A) he's originally from NY, and B) he's a flamer.  He's also the nephew of Bowzer from Sha Na Na, but that's not good enough to get a pass for his flaming liberalism.

Quote
Born in Bronx, New York, Bauman worked as a registered nurse for many years before entering politics. He obtained his bachelor's degree in nursing from Excelsior College, University of the State of New York. He also obtained graduate education in Health Care Administration from Century University, now known as American Century University. He lives in North Hollywood with his husband of many years, Michael. Eric's uncle is musician Jon "Bowzer" Bauman, formerly of Sha Na Na.

I have not fine dined at RUTH CHRIS Steakhouse within the past ten years, but I alays had a great steak there.

I believe the original name was Chris Steakhouse but a lady(?) bought the business and smply added her name to it.

Her name is/was "RUTH".

But now my favorite steakhouse  is  Fleming's Steak House which I have heard now owns P.F. Chang's.

The worse steakhouse I've ever eaten in was the WYNN STEAKHOUSE in the Wynn Hotel Casino.

The matre'd/host was a complete jerk and I've been served a better steak in a combat-zone mess-hall and the expensive ala carte salad looked and tasted like a very small mildewed haystack which even that talking mule would refuse to eat.

No wonder he wasn't dining there that night!

But it's possible that that real jerk of a matre'd got pissed and passed on the word to the kitchen staff to totally fook-up everything I ordered .... and they did do a damn good job doing so.

Final warning .... Don't go there!

It appears that the yoinger generation fine dining, steak-house fans favor Tomahawk Steaks and the few joints here in Vegas that serve them at very high prices.

But if you really want the world's best strak you'll have to take a day off and go to Japan and order a Kobe steak dinner.

The last Kobe steak dinner I had set me back less than $12 but those Kobe Beef cattle guys wised up a bit and went ahead and raised their prices.

And it'll be a rare night in seakhouse hell if you order Kobe steak in the USA and are served the real thing! Most likely ... it ain't gonna happen.

ROB, Which do you prefer .... Ruth Chris or Fleming's??

Sorry ... the following is gonna be off track but I gotta tell this boring, fine dining  story in an attempt to let you know that there are stilll some damn fine preople in Holltwood regardless of what you read on this GetBig Board.

Plus this may be may be why I prefer Fleming's over Ruth Chris and In n' Out ....

We fine dine at Fleming's about  2-3 times a year at the Woodland Hill's location ... and on those 2 - 3 occasions we are the guests of some very influential Hollywood motion picture individuals and the meals are all compliments of the studio ... and there are no drinking nor dining imits.

So a limo picks us up at home at the appointed time  and we arrive at Fleming's and catch up at the bar with a matini or two before being shown to our table where our host will request that the somblier (which I always refer to as the 'Wine guy") make his round among the guests to inquire what YEAR vintage each guest prefers and then the wine guy proceeds to describe the best wine available in stock for that year with no mention regarding the price of that particukar bottle.

And then we make our selection and the wine guy continues on to the next guest whike wine-guy Jr, goes off in search of that particular bottle.

It always appears that the year is important to this group but since I am not a "wine-o 'I just order the latest edition of some kind of wine that has bubbles in it .... and he usually suggests a rose because somehow he recalls  from our previous visit that I do not like champaigne.

This group of fine diners are important enough that the wait staff and cocktail gals and this wine dude know our preferences before we show up.  (I think)

I am not one of the imortant guys but somehow they stilll know that I like new wine with bubbles ... and Tangueray martinis with two olives.

Cut to the chase.

And by the time dinner is over and the desert dishes are removed someone decides it is time for an after dinner cocktail or two and our section of the restaurant gets a bit noisey .... but no one ever complains.

And then with a simple wave of our host's hand (everyone is pretty damn loaded by now) we are escorted outside to one of a few fancy limos and are driven home  by a sober chauffeur because our host will not allow his guests to drive even if  only one guest had one beer.

Rich people (and this one in particular) know how to treat their friends well and the staff at Fleming's goes way overboard to make us feel most wecome and important  even though I can't tell the difference between a Ripple and a Chardoney.

So that's wh I think I like Flemming's best.

Oh yra, Usually one or two of the guests will show up in costume and full make-up because he/she had to leave the set to be on time for this fine dining experience, but I can assure you that no one is capable of returing to that set unless they were involved in the shooting of a drunken-brawl scene.

Fun times at the dinner table with a damn great bunch of Hollywood people!

OK,   Back to In n' Out!

Well your dining experience sounds much better than mine haha, being that I gotta pay 200-250 whenever the wife and I go.Im gonna say just by most recent experience steak wise Ruth’s Chris,Staff and potato’s Fleming’s.Ruths Chris just bugs us to much as far as stopping at the table every 2 minutes etc...I know they are being helpful but give me a breather and back off haha.Either way both great filets and wouldn’t turn down an offer to eat at either.

Goodmorrow I Am FALLSVIEW

MSM and Liberals everywhere are calling for a boycott of the Burger chain In & Out Burger because they have donated to the Republican Party.

How many of you agree with this?

If you do, do you unfriend people in your life that have different political views?

If you agree with this do you stop with political views or unfriend people that have different opinions, religion, beliefs, lifestyles than yours?

If you do agree with this aren't you stomping out diversity?

WHO WANTS TO WALK WITH FALLSVIEW?

If In and Out Burgers are good, I'll buy them. There's a new store opening soon in Salem, OR. Since I travel there on business a couple times a month, I will give it a try. It will be the closest store to where I live.

There is no In & Out where I live but I eat at Ruth Chris every weekend

Ruth's Chris has a location in Portland. There was a positive review of the restaurant in an article about steak houses in Portland. It was among the best top local steak houses. My choice has been The Ringside on Burnside, in uptown Portland.

Here's the official story behind the name.

RUTH’S STORY
Over four decades ago, Ruth Fertel, a divorced mother of two, mortgaged her home for $22,000 to buy a small 60-seat restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana named Chris Steak House. Shortly thereafter, a fire forced her to change the original location and she renamed the restaurant, “Ruth’s Chris Steak House.”

Despite her lack of restaurant experience, Ruth’s enthusiasm and determination made the restaurant a greater success than even she had anticipated. In 1977, at the urging of a loyal customer, Ruth granted her first franchise just outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Our Sizzling Steak Concepts franchise began shortly thereafter in the mid 1980’s in Georgia.

Opening their first Ruth’s Chris restaurant in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta in 1986, Sizzling Steak Concepts is the largest Ruth’s Chris franchisee worldwide, with 12 restaurants across Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and Tennessee and plans for continued expansion throughout the Southeast.

Featuring custom-aged, USDA Prime steaks, served with the signature sizzle and legendary hospitality, Sizzling Steaks Concepts’ franchise partners Mark Oswald, Nancy Oswald, Jim Brooks and Phil Brooks are dedicated to honoring the vision and traditions set forth by Ruth’s Chris Steak House founder, Ruth Fertel.

From its humble beginnings with a single restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1965 to its current position as the global steakhouse leader, Ruth’s Chris now welcomes steak enthusiasts at more than 150 restaurants worldwide.

No, and if they try the same with with Chik-Fil-A, there'll be an uprising throughout the fattest parts of the country as millions of people in pickup trucks bring their semi-automatic rifles and aim them at the communists with picket signs outside their favorite chicken joint.

Thanks, Bevo/Prime .... On rare occaaions I imply order a steak with no salad nor sides, but I always regret it when the steak arrives looking like it misses its best friend.

That's the best way I can describe that lonely steak.

So now even if I only want a steak, I tell the waiter to put 'something" on the plate beside it.

That something usually turs out to be a nude baked potato, so once again I get that lonely feeling (this time for that lonely potato) and politely ask himto bring a lot of 'other stuff" for that potato.

Is this a common problem among seatk eaters within fine dining establishments ... or am I just plain fooking nutz?

PS ... No need to answer that! I play poker with shrinks twice a month and should receive a professional answer ... wiich he always responds with, "That' funny, I have the same problem!"

He does that becase I refuse to make an appointment.

PRIME, Be an In n' Ouy insider and order Animal Fries.

You will not find them on the menu.

But don't tell anyone or else you willl have to wait a long time for tose secret Animal Fries.

And please notice  the smirk on the  kid's face when you place your order. He is trying to get you to change your mind about Animal Fries.

Don't do it. Stay steady and be insistant if necessary!

BEVO, A few years back any bodybuilder who lived  in or visited your Lone Star State would comment highly on one particular Texas Steakhouse in which your meal was compliments of the house if you could do one of the two things described below.

I honestly forget which one of these two things you had to do to get that free meal bcause there were other US steakhouses which honored  similar endeavors.

One requirement was that you had to consume the whole damn steak in one sitting.

And I'd be a damn lier if I told you that that steak was 5 lbs or more .... but it was diffificult to qualify none-the-less'

And another but separate requirement was that you had to lift a very heavy rock which was located outside by the front door.

This was all prior to the social internet shit so bragging rights were reserved strictly for good friends and those inside the restaurant who were trying to enjoy an expensive steak dinner while tank-top bulked up muscle-heads were screaming to encourage other buked up, tank topped muscleheads to lift a heavy rock and get a free steak sinner.

Do you recall that place?

And I once had a good friend by the name of Phil Conklin who was in tight with the Hilton family and who opened another fine and fncy dining spot down Texas way.

Phil was a god man who lifted heavy things back then but over the years and my travels to very strange places we managed to lose contact.

Any possibility that you may know whom I'm speaking of?

And in order to claim my bragging rights... a  few  us knuckle-heads were the personal invited guests of the Texs Rangers in he Lake LBJ area.

If you'd ask me why, I'd have to kill ya.

Good days those were!

One last comment here and I'll shut the fook up!

Do any of you wanna-be computer genuises know if this lady who owns In n' Out has or can purchase a computer application/program that will tell her eXactly the number of burgers, fries, shakes, and sodas that are sold the moment that the kid enters that info into the cash register?

If I was the sole owner of all In n' Out stores, I'd want that up to date info.

And if such a program is not available, maybe you smarter GetBiggers should build one..

I think that the sole owner of SUBWAY with 40,000 Subway sandwich shops would buy one for a few million at least.... unless such an app is presenty available fot a dollar binety-five.

Just something to think about.

I've got other possible  profitable 'thunks' to think about if any GeBigger has the guts and balls to make these thunks a reality.

I can't imagine any midsize company will not have their own bespoke software that does all this and be very particular to their requirements. It's not even that expensive these days.
