It depends upon the insurance coverage...

There are three instances of unconventional living arrangements:

• Painters, Sculptors, Photographers, Rock Musicians and the like who can't afford separate workspace and living arrangements.  They would rent warehaus space to work in and crash there on the sly as well.  This is how the concept of Lofts came about.  Warehouses didn't like people living there because that would make their insurance go up.
• People who live with their light airplanes...there are airports north of Houston where people with airplanes can live with them in the Hangar.
• People who live on their boats...ClearLake and Seabrook have many marinas who allow live-aboards.

In the above instances, insurance coverage is more involving if people live on the premises.
