Superman is a more difficult casting than Batman. I would say the measure of how great Cavill is as Superman forces a completely different character. How you can make a movie in the same series where Russell Crowe is Superman's father...that just seems dumb doesn't it???

I guess everything is burnt out and all will be moving to "alternate universe" stuff.

I don't think Hugh Jackman was too worried about being typecast...he squeezed every $$ out of that role. You act your way out of being typecast, some can't.

DC really shit the bed with these movies.  Wonder Woman was the best move of the group.

I liked Cavil, they just made some bad choices about how they built their universe.

Cavill may be poised to become the next Bond now. He said he'd take the role if asked and I'm sure the producers will. He certainly looks the part.

Brandon Routh is the one you're thinking of. There was also Dean Cain from the TV series and Henry Cavill most recently. Of course, there was Mike O'Hearn too.
