I don't like that idea at all. Superman has always been white (I was a huge Christopher Reeve fan). This isn't a racist rant, moreso me wondering why they can't stay true to the comics.

What's next?

Make Wolverine Chinese?

Make professor X Puerto Rican?

Make Storm a Russian?

Cavill embodied the look and presentation that best depicted Superman.

Affleck sucked in my opinion. Christian Bale can certainly be offered more money, as he was great in my opinion. That said, I don't think Batman can be played by Native American. I guess fucking with the original comics sounds like a bad idea.

I enjoyed that one.  I am still a big fan of Christopher Reeve's Clark Kent/Superman.  To me, his portrayal was the best ever.

Cavill was good in Mission Impossible 5. Maybe he just wants out of the role, kind of like Michael Keaton didn’t want to do Batman anymore. Affleck was just a bad choice for Batman from go. Bale was great.

A lot of these actors don’t want to be type cast, even though it may be the biggest role that they have played. Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig come to mind. Not to mention that certain roles, like the super hero or action ones are very physically demanding and require one to be in shape—-something that the average actor/actress doesn’t really have the stomach for.
