NJ REASON TO LEGALIZE POT
« on: September 13, 2018, 05:41:29 AM »
law makers and politicians say 95%of arrests are African americans and  the impacts aren't evenly distributed. Black New Jerseyans are three times more likely to be arrested for marijuana possession than white residents, despite similar cannabis use, a 2017 American Civil Liberties Union report found.

agreed but the point is its being looked at the wrong way African americans are using and selling it so because of their illegal activities people are saying its not fair .. it shouldn't matter the race if you are selling to kids and anyone else its illegal period..

Legal now in Nevada and has been for a while.

Someone gave me a marijuana candy bar but I have yet to give it a try.

And Cheek and Chong have a dispensary on the east side of town.

The marijuana stores here in Vegas are very eye appealing and first class to say the least, but there are a lot of funny looking people who hang around in the outside parking lot.

Try the candy bar,you will have a blast.just a piece though unless you want to start tripping.

Definitely make it legal.

NJ Guv sees legalization as a tax/cash grab for the state to the tune of $80+ million/yr.

He is dreaming if he believes the state will collect that much.

Unlike Cali you will not be able to legally grow your own for personal use in NJ.

Won’t help the issue, only will help the people behind the bill. It will help the corporations, politicians and activists.

Wont help that issue (or maybe it would, w/ no arrests) but it will help the users who need it, not having to buy it illegally, will cut down on SOME drug dealing, free up some prison space for harder drug crimes.
You are 100% ccorrect though Parker:

It will help the corporations, politicians and activists.

Therein lies the problem. It will increase the arrests. Because “it’s just a plant”. And then there is the lowered expectation of Black men. This is not about helping them, it’s about the egos of the people behind all of the proposals. To be saviors of  “the poor, poor black man”, that they all look down on, and pity. And at the same time making money and stroking egos for all that are involved, except for the intended party.

You have to look beyond the smoke.

It's all about more tax dollars for NJ gov't to squander.

Follow the money.  Anything else is just bullshat.

Not even close. Going to be around the same as other states. You can get an oz of low shelf in Denver for $60-80.
Hell a caviar joint is only about $20.
