Just was told this tidbit by a gym aquaintance here in LA. Said that he was asked to backstage expedite one of their upcoming shows. Said he wanted to out of total curiousity, but had his brothers wedding to attend. I tried picking his brain for info on this and all that he could tell me was this... (based upon all that he himself could find out too)
*The big show is called Mr. Intergalactica
*No tanning products allowed. No tanned skin. No posing oil. All posing trunks are 4 inch sides.
*No female divisions.. only 1 mens bodybuilding division. 1 class...no weight classes.
*All competitors are bused in from Los Angeles to the event located in Hemet, California desert.
*Trophy is only given to the 1 winner. No 2nd or 3rd place announced.
*Trophy is a statue shaped like a Dianetic Volcano exploding.
*IFBB pro, Jerome Ferguson has been the guest poser for past few years and that he comes out wearing a Battlefield Earth outfit and poses to a lazer light show.
That is all that I was told. Very intriguing...but also sounds insane too. Was waiting to hear that Travolta is the main judge. Does anybody here have knowledge of this madness?
