Oh I agree. I just think about how I used to look at him when I was a kid and this is so weird to see (and Rick Moranis passes sold out before his  ). But when thinking about how he's conducted himself in the last few years, then it makes sense. 

My wife asked me if it was something I would be interested in, and for starters I would never pay that to meet someone but I also would have zero interest. Would rather meet the voice of Batman.

Not remotely close. I was an editor at MMI. My interactions with him were because of the magazine. I mean, he was always pleasant enough, but it was obvious he only cared what others could do for him.

Now Loutard, what a shitbag. He was self-involved, as well, but without any friendliness or tact. An absolute asshole.

No one in the industry likes him.

Maybe Lou felt he had a defensive standpoint from the get-go, feeling the need to defend himself growing up with a handicap and feeling different.

A behavior that then continued even after he got recognition and fame.

No idea. But I’ve spoken with him both in person and over the phone, lifted alongside him in California when I was out visiting Platz and have witnessed him interact with fans on several occasions.

Just a crummy human being.
