My orthopaedic surgeon said "jogging" is a knee killer. Jogging produces high impact he said.Running however is ok because it does not produce high impact.
Makes me wonder how ancient/ primitive Man survived having to run & hunt for food.Maybe their Knees were stronger.Or They just didn’t live to 40/50/60+
in the 1600-1700 lifespan was between 25-35 years
Yes - And that was mainly due to different diseases etcAlso that’s just a very small time frame.Humans have been running around on this planet long before then.
I’m thinking of competing again. I’m literally within 12-15lbs of where I was when I competed last 10 years ago but much harder and have been training consistently since last year and dieting since April. Wife (a former pro) says I’m close. Shooting for Dec 15. This is a big decision considering the trauma that’s been going on latelyThoughts?
There are machines a many gyms which replicate jogging, running and walking that are impact free.
I say go for it Joe........it`s a great way to reach peak conditioning which I think everybody should do at least once a year or so.
This is one of the reasons why I’m thinking of it. I’m in Vegas right and for the last couple of days I’ve been training at The Lift Factory. For the first time I actually weighed myself without a shirt and shoes and weighed in at 206.1. Since April I’ve came down 28lbs with little size lost. Wife says do it but my ego says I’m not ready. In my head I’m dealing with the fact that due to my age, my leg size is down (sarcopenia) and it bothers me.
Leg size is down? Up the dose!!
I’m at my limit with doses and I train the fuck out of my legs.
Glory days.Just move on Coach and do something that's constructive with your life.
If you do go through with it, hire yourself a personal trainer... I've seen your "workout" videos. No sense in hurting yourself with that crap.
Sure...everyone’s a critic, expert and “guru”
