It's great that Trump is giving this serious threat full consideration. Space is weaponized despite any treaty. Communications surveillance and guidance systems are run through satellites. China and Russia has their sights on taking out our satellites in times of war. That guidance is used for weapon guidance, communications and surveillance. Right now the Air force is tasked with that duty. We need a complete dedicated unit devoted to this defense. China can knock out much of GPS, radio and cable for civilians putting the masses in the dark. Military satellites are a bigger problem. We need to have the means to monitor their satellites and have them in our gun sights.
